Mauro Franceschi is a composer and electric guitar performer. He has received commissions for theater productions, documentaries, films, videos, and photography exhibitions.

In 2002, Italy's Ministry of Culture recognized his project Electric Guitar Solo as "a suitable representation of Italian musical culture abroad."
