Concentrix by Matt Robertson
Concentrix was written and recorded in BC Canada in 2025. I wanted to use lots of overlapping motifs of different time groupings to try and disguise an obvious structure or arrangement, and in doing so, invite a kindof focussed engagement or meditation. Inspired by the work of Mother Mallards Portable Masterpiece Company, and many others, most of the parts were played in real time rather than being sequenced. This hopefully gives the album a bit more of a human feel even though all the sounds are very much electronic. I hope you enjoy!!
