SOUNDTRACKING by MARK WILKINS

SOUNDTRACKING is a collection of some of the music I've composed for live theatre, radio plays, documentaries and short films over the past 30 years. During this time I've had the privilege of composing and performing original music for some of the most innovative theatre groups and independent production companies in Ireland and beyond, who've given me far more creative freedom and leeway than I deserved. As a result I've had a lot of fun and got to work with some brilliant people. Some of the music on this release was recorded in a studio whilst some was recorded on old mobile recording devices, during rehearsal, live performance or on location, resulting in the sound in places being somewhat raw and undercooked (which I like to think gives a more authentic feel). Cormac O'Connor of The Maple Rooms Studio did his best to tidy it up for your ears. Like all soundtrack albums it is best listened to through headphones, late at night with the lights turned down and your phone on silent...
