Francesco Pico makes the long awaited return on his own Magnitude Recordings label after the massive success of his 'Taming Da Echoes EP' which saw the light of day in the Spring time of last year and marked the re-launch of his imprint. The progressive house veteran delights us with two brand new originals, 'The Vibe' and 'Viva Variance'.
We kick things off with the title track 'The Vibe', layered on an infectious and ever going arp it's richness of details is hard to ignore. Slowly but surely a simply but very clever melody is introduced that lifts the song up into euphoria, all to erupt after the main breakdown.
On 'Viva Variance' Francesco takes things a bit more "late night". It's one of those heavy hitting tunes with a clear techno influence you'll expect a DJ to drop at 5am when only the true freaks (in the best possible meaning of that world) occupy the dance floor. Heady stuff!
Two incredibly funkin' and groovin' prog house fueled cuts by Magnitude's main man. What's your favorite?
