Radio Rain from Sonic Anatomy by Manja Ristić

Ambient is made of manipulated radio static noise and of summer rain recorded in the old town of Korčula, in August 2016.
The final layer of the sonic narrative is a piano playing by then 3 year old boy Luka Bilbija, further manipulated in a basic software.
Ambient calls for active listening, enhancing the though process in meditative manner of a multilayered dron-like texture. The artificial space in which the sound is settled alludes to eclectic geometry of an empty "body".

Born in Belgrade 1979. Violinist, sound artist, curator and researcher mostly active in the field of electro-acoustics, instrumental improvisation & experimental sound related arts. Graduated at the Belgrade Music Academy, then gained PGDip at the Royal College of Music, London.
