This song is devoted to Lord Shiva, who is worshipped by millions of Hindus. Shiva is the masculine principle of creation and destruction. It is said that Shiva carries the Ganges in his hair... if Shiva was not there, the lands would be flooded with the water of the Ganges. Personally I feel a great connection with Shiva and the vastness, depth, and mystery of this ancient Hindu God. Ah Shiva ! I’ve set this Indian chant to quite a serious, deep, nighttime rhythm and raga. I feel that this is where Shiva is at home.
