This simplistic, inspiring idea is the origin of WAVES.
Just starting to play one note until there's a reason to add one more and one more and one more until the whole thing funnels into an immersive spiral of athmospherical sound and simple, low frequent melody.
It's an evolution every time I play it.

In August 2019 I was travelling through the european woods.
We saw a lot of different places and spent most of our time surrounded by impressive natural environments.
In nearly every place we approached, I went out to record some music.
I made this recording of WAVES late at night in the rough bavarian forest.
This recording of WAVES captures both:
The simplistic idea, funneling an absorbing sonic landscape into an improvised composition and the dark moody feeling of the foggy bavarian forest, just two hours after the rain - the tension of spending time alone in the blackened dark of a forest around midnight.
