Lyrics
Thumbsucker
Finegas caught the salmon
And he stuck it on a spit
He showed me how to cook the fish
And he left me minding it
I pressed my thumb against the flesh
To see if it was firm
Some boiling oil burned me then
And a blister formed
I sucked my thumb, I bit it to the bone
Now I know the knowledge that the wizard should’ve known
When my tongue touched that blister, with the knowledge of Goll my mind was blown
I didn’t want just a little, I bit it to the bone
With a flash my mind was reeling
Through all time it now has flown
See it shining in my eyes
They’re ripple rings of hazelnuts, falling in a pool below
I sucked my thumb, I bit it to the bone
I know the knowledge that the wizard should’ve know
My tongue touched that blister, with the knowledge of Gol my mind was blown
I didn’t want just a little, I bit it to the bone
Finegas caught the salmon
He stuck it on a spit
He showed me how to cook the fish
And he left me minding it
I pressed my thumb against the flesh
To see if it was firm
Some boiling oil burned me
Then a blister formed
And I sucked my thumb
Fios feasa faoi gheasa
