Horrors & Writer by M25S05LF

Inspired by GOAT (the Japanese band), Schnellertollermeier, and Yowie.

Although I used a sampler, no computer sequencing nor any algorithm was used; I stole no sounds, I did not use anything pre-programmed, and no sample was used more than once (except for the bonus track). I played and recorded guitar & drums separately, meticulously took out my favorite bits, loaded them to the Roland SPD-SX sampler, and played the sampler—improvised in realtime (no multiple takes, no conventional overdubs)—like I would play an acoustic drum kit in realtime. (I did cheat a little and sped up the samples slightly before loading them to the sampler).

It goes to show how amazingly talented the afore-mentioned bands are: they do everything without using samplers! I am just an impatient, bumbling noisemaker. It would be great to make and play this kind of music with other persons but I just have to do what I can with what I have.
