41MR by Thijs Lodewijk (LudoWic) will be released on April 28th.

In 2020, the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam displayed the painting “Grey, Orange on Maroon, No. 8” by Mark Rothko as part of the exhibition “Rothko & Me*.

Thijs Lodewijk (LudoWic) was given the opportunity to experience this color field painting for one hour alone without any other visitors in the room.

To record his intimate moment with the artwork Thijs made a 41 minute long track on his beloved EMS Synthi A on his lab.
