Handmade by Lonesome Doves
Our debut album took three years to realize. We fell in love. We wrote songs about it. We kept them to ourselves, but our friends urged us to share them. We recorded them in various homes, make-shift studios, a cabin in Oklahoma by a babbling river, and one song in a professional recording studio.
Standing back now and looking at the album, we know this is only our genesis. Our album Handmade was a from scratch effort to learn how to be recording artists, learn how to be a band and perform for an audience. Everything was handmade, including the records we sold. We used this approach and found it a fitting album title.
