I was wrong
It has destroyed me

Shoulda let it go a million years ago
Instead we swam where the tears flow

Til I felt it my chest was cavin in
But unlike the movies
No sound of a violin
No one to catch me
I'm spiralin
My mind all fuzzy
Graspin for the links

Pathetic the way I mope around
Dark Genie in Dark Cloud
And dark days give birth to more dark days
Slouching all night
There's no life left in my battery
My body wants to fight
My mind wants to flee
Heart seeks out the light
But my eyes all wet and soggy
Swollen shut
All raw
Kinda hurting

No one is responsible for me
I have to fight my fears
Work towards healing
Gotta do it on my own
Channel the struggle
Put it in a poem
Honestly I hate
Every moment I spend alone
Since I was a kid
Left me feelin all stripped to the bone

Pounding blood in my ears
It's incapacitating

And wearing a fast food bag for a crown
I'm the Queen of the Seagulls
The King of the Rats
Fill my lungs with a blastful of the couch lockin purples
Sittin here thinkin how you like the taste of maple syrple
Comforted by a purring cat in my lap
Smelling like swamp gas

There's a monster in the lake
Keeps on pullin me down
Where I keep the mistakes

Ceases to exist
