Snapshot by Lisabel

Contemporary soul and jazz vocalist Lisabel and acclaimed jazz pianist Chris Bland announce their new collaborative EP, Snapshot, out on July 1st, 2025.

Snapshot is an intimate collection of beloved jazz ballads recorded live in a single take.
Captured using just one AEA R88 stereo ribbon microphone, the EP offers a raw and atmospheric listening experience that preserves the natural acoustics of the room and the chemistry between the two performers.

The simplicity of the setup is intentional—designed to bring listeners as close as possible to the heart of the performance.

The EP was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Nikola Kovačević, known for his innovative work across jazz, soul, and electronic music scenes in London. His attention to sonic detail adds clarity and warmth without compromising the organic feel of the session.

Lisabel and Chris have been performing together for several years, connected by a shared passion for jazz standards and nuanced interpretation. Their deep musical rapport is the foundation of Snapshot, which highlights not only technical musicianship but also vulnerability, space, and storytelling.

“We wanted to capture the magic of a live moment,” says Lisabel. “There’s something beautiful in the imperfections and spontaneity of playing a song all the way through without edits—it tells a more human story.”
