Driving up 89 in the springtime
takes me back to when I rode these roads for the first time

Drinking whiskey in the back of the car
drove for hours just to know who you are
holding on for dear life
the door is open can i get a ride

Where are we going is a question I save for halfway
tonight the kingdom and tomorrow the milky way

Drank from the spring
and swam in shadow lake
with new friends we’d never see again
but that's the name of the game

Blueberry pancakes and a walk to the car,
we took the long way cause who cares how far
through the mountains where the wildflowers scar
in the tall grass that's when I know who are
