They end as wisps that dance above my head
In the harrowing clouds above you whispered those songs that once felt so close
I tried to dance along but my feet were planted
In a motionlessness that eclipsed my heart
The breathing we felt was no longer there
Spinning around to the sound of
Trumpets calling to the days we were whole
Calling to what could have been
Where are the days we were promised
I don't dream about you at night anymore
Wandering thoughts have lead me nowhere
What should be the day
Now falls to dusk
And again I find myself stargazing
