Visceral from Visceral by Lehto

After releasing his debut album Between All Days in 2022 and the collaborative single 'Arches' with longtime companion Tristan De Liege, Lehto returns with his new single 'Visceral' for spring 2023.

Created over the last twelve months during the finishing process of Between All Days, 'Visceral' is compromised of a heavy synth chord progression combined with chopped bells and some dusted drums. The syncopated percussion swings the listener along as the track gently evolves, introducing shimmering elements that are sometimes mysterious, and always soulful.

'Parted Ways' is inspired by distant memories of separated souls, who drift through the night and wonder how the other is doing, but never find an answer. The repetitive melancholic intro sequence takes the listener directly into the mood of these longing hearts and their memories of another life. A yearning counter-melody soon meets a soaring synth that descends into the final rhythmic pluck that carries the song to its conclusion.
