A gringo is a north american or an anglo-saxon. It is usually a white person but doesn't have to be. It is not a hateful term but it can be used hatefully. It also represents behaviour and attitudes that latinos consider to be "american".
A star is a natural luminous body visible in the sky especially at night. Or a self-luminous gaseous spheroidal celestial body of great mass which produces energy by means of nuclear fusion reactions.
Another definition of a star is the principal member of a theatrical or operatic company who usually plays the chief roles... Or an outstandingly talented performer... Or a person who is preeminent in a particular field.
Gringos represent all that is good, bad and indifferent about Americans. The Innovation, the greed, the creativity, the arrogance, the courage, the cowardice, the humanity and the complicity.
Stars are enormous celestial bodies that all other smaller celestial bodies gravitate towards and orbit around. They are light, heat, warmth and life. The sun is a star.
Americano Sunset is a personal and artistic documentation of the end of the era of American dominance and the uncertain future that we all face.
It is the end of a long day and the beginning of a long night.
The light is not always good and the dark is not always bad.
Nothing is always anything.
