An unfamiliar place
and I'm lost inside it.
A taxi through the rain
never felt so silent.

I am on my own now:
City lights and letdowns.

I’ve been at sea, amidst the waves of small talk.
The tempest is lonely, despite the crew that I’ve got.
The constant storms and whirlpools remind me that I miss you
It doesn’t help that I don’t know when I’ll find solid land.
Intentions pretended,
opinions suspended,
all this is ending
faster than expected
and I can’t comprehend, what’s left of my close friends
is just my perception of them.
