Rave by Lane 8
We're excited to announce the release of Lane 8's newest single, 'Rave'- out today on This Never Happened!
Also kicking off tomorrow is this season’s new artwork, where we've chosen to reflect on the alarming ‘waste culture’ found in our societies and the environmental impacts ‘throwaway plastics’ have on our oceans.
We've incorporated plastic into our flower imagery to represent this imbalance and imposition of the unnatural on the natural. All featured plastic was sourced from non-recycling bins near our studio in London.
On top of the Bandcamp profits made from Lane 8’s 'Rave', we’re also matching the entire proceeds and donating them to @theoceancleanup. They do incredible work in developing and scaling technologies which clean up floating plastic in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and in rivers across the globe before they enter our precious oceans.
