I’ve had battles and setbacks believe me or not
Life hasn’t always been so crash hot
Like lots of others my childhood wasn’t great
I’ve made a lot of stupid mistakes
But I try not to hang it all up
I try to keep a smile and act tough
I get nervous every time I go out
I try not to get drunk and black out
I try not to cut absolutely everyone off
Heading toward my depression like an airborne sloth
I don’t like where I’m headed but I have to grit my teeth
Try to bury my sadness and doubt down real deep
