No Solo by Andy Emler
Andy Emler c’est : de multiples œuvres pour grand orchestre allant de l’ensemble d’harmonie aux big bands de jazz en passant par le grand orchestre symphonique, notamment avec la création d'un concerto, dirigé par Jean-Claude Casadesus et l'Orchestre National de Lille, en 2014.
Ce compositeur est aussi connu pour ses petites formations telles que le trio ETE (Emler, Tchamitchian, Echampard), des formes en duo valsant entre les grandes orgues avec Dave Liebman ou le piano avec Thomas de Pourquery et diverses rencontres avec Ballaké Sissoko ou la chorégraphe Elodie Sicard.
Mais Andy Emler c’est surtout une belle histoire de fidélité avec le « MegaOctet » pendant 30 années (2 victoires de la musique, 3 Djangos d’or et bien d’autres distinctions).
Aujourd’hui avec « No Solo », Andy Emler invite ses amis virtuoses à jouer avec son piano, voguant dans l’espace sonore et le temps. Un voyage international plein d’influences, sans frontières… que de la musique !
Rhoda Scott, Naïssam Jalal, Géraldine Laurent, Aïda Nosrat, Aminata "Nakou" Drame, Nguyên Lê, Claude Tchamitchian, Thomas de Pourquery, Hervé Fontaine, Phil Reptil et Ballaké Sissoko ont amené leurs univers pour contribuer à la plénitude de cette œuvre.

Andy Emler is well known for his multiple compositions for large orchestras and symphonic works, for his piano concerto and his trio concerto, created by the "Lille Orchestra" and Jean-Claude Casadesus.
He is also known for his work with smaller ensembles such as the "ETE Trio", with double bassist Claude Tchamitchian and drummer Eric Echampard, the pipe organ and saxophone duo with Dave Liebman ( 2018), the saxophone and piano duo with Thomas de Pourquery, and his collaboration with Ballaké Sissoko.
Andy Emler is also the creator and leader of the famous French large ensemble the "MegaOctet", with 30 years of existence and with whom, he had recorded 8 albums and has been rewarded with several prices such as two "Victores de la Musique" and three "Djangos d’or", among others.
On his latest album "No Solo", Andy Emler invites his friends and virtuoso musicians to join him in a singular, intimate and worldwide music journey, along with him playing beautiful sounds and music texture ; for Andy Emler "It is only music, as he enjoys saying.
Naïssam Jalal, Aïda Nosrat, Rhoda Scott, Thomas de Pourquery, Phil Reptil, Ballaké Sissoko, Aminata "Nakou " Drame, Claude Tchamitchian, Géraldine Laurent, Hervé Fontaine and Nguyên Lê brought their wonderful talent to achieve the new Emler’s opus : "No Solo".
