Nausicaa's Gambit from Paradise by Kushana
An alternative myth, based upon The Odyssey and Odysseus meet Nausicaa. In this take on the myth, he does burn his ships and marries Nausicaa, abandoning his home and his wife in the process. But the cycle repeats and in his adulterous ways, he does it again. Left broken from it Nausicaa is given a choice to define fate or defy it by the Fates. That the new fleet built in honor of Odysseus, as a gift to him for his unstable marriage to Nausicaa, must be burnt before it sails to some war greater than Troy. To prevent greater tragedies, Nausicaa must create a great tragedy. In her grief and anger, she does so, and is left to simmer in the ashes of her regret over it all in the end.
fun fact: these lyrics are somewhat incorrect cause i never got around to doing a retake, oh well, oops. something for the future maybe?
