1. Bembero is a song of celebration, composed by Sekuru Tute Chigamba on mbira, with marimba version arranged and taught to us by Garadziva Chigamba. In it, we sing “Zvinoda kupembererwa,” (It is necessary to celebrate) and “Nyika ino, tinoda rugare” (Our country, we want to be happy). Singing lines are from Irene Chigamba and Wiriranai Chigonga.
Kudana has been entertaining crowds throughout the Pacific Northwest with Marimba music for over thirty-five years. Kudana means to love one another translated from the Shona language of Zimbabwe. Our performances are filled with energy, and we encourage audiences to participate with joyful movement and dance.
