Rotational Velocity by Linear Straight
Belgian producer Linear Straight is the new Konsequent records family member and on a mission to guidetechno further into the eclipse.
His debut EP on Konsequent is a single from the upcoming album and consists of two original tracks andtwo remixes by Dutch techno doyen Jeroen Search, kicking off with the original version of “RotationalVelocity” - a true wolf in sheep’s clothing, morphing from a simple beat and bassline into a multi-layeredpsychedelic techno experience, drenched in analogue noize and intense enough to force the dance-floorsinto absolute submission.
On A2 we have a chord-laden and pleasingly rocking Jeroen Search Remix of “Rotational Velocity”, whichis a masterfully crafted floor-filler.
Linear Straights love for EBM becomes particularly apparent when listening to “Vegen” on B1, a brutalindustrious monster, kicking off like a sledgehammer on fire while conjuring Front 242 and DAF.
B2 is another Jeroen Search remix of the album track “Vostok”, a rock solid noise-laden stomper, skillfullystripped down, pairing heavy drums with the originals eroded drones.
