Pemaquid Point by Kennebec Moon

Gowing up in Maine Pemaquid Point is a place that my family frequented whenever we could.

A rocky point featuring long troughs cut by centuries of waves.

As a kid, sitting on the upper ledge with our family dog Lulu and letting the sound of waves, wind, and gulls provided a peacefulness that encouraged daydreams in the sun or on cloudy days as well.

Whenever my band Someone & The Somebidies plus entourage would descend on my parents house for a weekend of "R & R from the R & R" as my musical partner in crime Tristram would say, a trip to Pemaquid Point was a must.

Pemaquid was one of the last places we took my mom Betsey just before she died.

For me, this rocky outcrop still remains a magical place and I am grateful for all the wonerful moments spent there so far.

I hope this meditation on Pemaquid Point will convey to those who haven't visited, and those who still frequent, the essences of the experience of being in the presence of this natural wonder.
