Tremendous Fantastic by Karate Boogaloo

"Tremendous Fantastic", that’s the name of the awfully good new single from Karate Boogaloo — that little old instrumental band from Down Under that flies the funk flag high. Seamlessly respecting the decades-old funk quartet tradition whilst also injecting their own original brand of cringe, the resulting ‘Kay-Bee Funk Music Group’ sound is a sound for dancing, loving, and listening, but most importantly, it’s a sound for all.

Sitting at the heart of Melbourne’s burgeoning instrumental soul movement, Karate Boogaloo (Henry Jenkins, Hudson Whitlock, Callum Riley, and Darvid Thor) have been playing music together since their playground days. Meeting as high school preteens, these four friends explored the teachings of the great small combo instrumental bands à la Booker T & The MG’s and The Meters.
