Boldly as Judith’s previous albums, Walk Steady explores darkness and light, depravity and internal heroism. She has come full circle with this album, intertwining her I Know Jack (Avers’ first band in Colorado) rock roots, songwriter poetry and over 40 years of contemplation.

Walk Steady is Avers’ most produced and refined collection to date. As Avers has a lifelong career in songwriting, each of her albums has organically built on the previous.

I'm a Kansas-born musician now living in California with my wife and our three cats. I've been playing music and writing songs for a long time.
Maybe I should have gone to school for something a little more secure, but now it seems this is the main skill I have to offer. New album out - I hope you like it.
