Palpitation from Ethereal by Judah Carvanna

Palpitation is a song I was doing as part of a college project on virtual analogue synthesis - create 10 synthesizer patches to certain requirements and then make a song out them. I looked at the requirements and thought to myself "How the hell am I gonna make a song out of such random patches!?"

But, putting aside the bamboozling scaryness of the project, I gave it a shot and out came this random piece of music! The synth patches were actually far easier to use in a song than I originally anticipated and I fired off this track in less than a few hours and I was that impressed with it that I decided to try more music like this (and then came the track "Is This Logical?" as a result!)

Why is it called Palpitation? Well, during the composition of this track, I was having some major Palpitations and Ectopics for only a few seconds but they were those intense I'd ever experienced! Having spoken to a Doctor friend of mine who assured me that it's okay and it happens to many people and they just don't notice it, I decided that they weren't such a bad thing after all since they gave this track a name!

Also, the track mixes in harsh chaotic and heavily distorted drums with ambient spacey pads...now, at the time, my heart was being all harsh and chaotic, and if it could heavily distort itself, I bet it would have, and the intensity of it made everything else go in slow motion, a bit ambient and spacey like...see a connection here? Yeah, that's why this is called Palpitation (that and Ectopics didn't have the same ring), and it's one of my personal favourites!
