PULAU PINANG by Juan Arminandi
The Pulau Pinang album is a musical representation of Juan Arminandi's experimental Hybrid Frequency project. The human body becomes the Object and Subject in the development of the Hybrid Frequency project. The Pulau Pinang album is a recapitulation of experiences, observations, and findings during a residency in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. The Penang Hybrid Frequency project gave birth to the hybrid instrument K3Y (read key). So the music you hear now is the result of Juan Arminandi's exploration of the sound experience of hybrid instruments. Enjoy.
