Glory

The wind is swirling through the fallen leaves,
I watch the sky begin to pale.
The chorus of the birds in the empty streets,
I’ll take this chance to get away.

The carousel of clouds, drift in evening light,
The tangled lovers make no sound,
These speculations keeping me awake at night,
Imagining goes round and round.

3.
Blessed are the meek and the mild of heart,
Blessed are the earth and sky,
Sacred is the love and the lives that pass,
Glory to the new born child.

You’ve taken me to Paradise,
Left me on the open shore.
I’m looking to the stars to direct my course,

The light begins to creep through the alleys and streets
I watch the colours’ slow return,
The isolation hiding from the eyes that greet
The wonder of another day.
