Tree Rings by John Schroeder

'Tree Rings' is my cover of a song by the great band Magnetic Vines. I played on their version and did so many layers of stringed instruments that with a little extra work my contributions stood on their own as a unique single.

Also, a fun fact - this recording was made and mixed with all outboard, analog gear. No plugins were used.

John Schroeder is a musician based in Los Angeles. He makes solo music on six and twelve string guitar and with bands the Sheriffs of Schroedingham and John & Ross. He also works as a producer, session musician and sideman with many artists/projects ranging from indie band Pomplamoose to rock and roll hall of famer Frankie Valli to hit TV show Dancing With the Stars.
