The Runaways by Johnny & the Box
The Runaways was recorded between July 2020 and March 2021 at Maclagan Road studios. The album is a collection of songs that all have 'escape' as a theme in some way. It was not a conscious decision to make a concept album! However, the timing of the recordings, during a worldwide pandemic and the national 'lockdowns' may have led to a subconscious choice of themes! I hope that you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it!

All songs were written, performed and produced by Johnny & the Box. With the exception of track 4 'Build no walls'(written by Ian Gomersall) and track 9 'Houdini' (written by Mike Richmond). Thanks to both Ian and Mike for entrusting their songs to me!
Mike Richmond also plays some mean lead guitar on track 5 'Life is for living' and some wonderful 'wha wha' guitar on track 9 'Houdini'!
