The Wayfinder by John Emanuel Bregar

Ever since I was about the age of the kid on the album cover, I've always wanted to make a record. I've had a great run with my kids/family music, but a couple of years ago I decided I was going to release something more mature. The Wayfinder is the result of a lot of hard work and time. Everything you hear is real - there are no loops, samples, or anything other than acoustic instruments, played one by one, by myself (or a couple helpers - see credits). If you like what you hear, please consider buying the record and sharing the news. If I generate enough income from it, I plan to make a limited run of vinyl.

The songs on this record come mostly from observations of the world around me. For the most part you won't find love songs, or songs about me - but if you know me, you'll probably hear something that sounds familiar - you'll recognize some of the world as I see it. None of the songs are about real people - they are fictitious amalgamations of people in my life, who have become new characters in my made-up world. But there are commentaries on the political landscape - and social observations that I feel deserve commentary as we navigate through the push and pull of differing opinions on empathy, Me Too, and other salient topics.
