Kaleidoscope by Jessica Hanson

This song was recorded during the civil unrest in my hometown of Omaha, NE. This is my attempt to find beauty in the midst of chaos and to reject the polarity of fear and violence. Kaleidoscope cascades from a singular looped violin performance into a full scale symphonic ballet of voices, haunting piano, and string arrangements that would not be out of place in a fantasy video game soundtrack. I hope this song can help someone find a shimmer of light through a seemingly dark era.

Artist Jessica Hanson, residing in Baltimore/D.C., takes her influences from Kishi Bashi and Andrew Bird to create space in the music spectrum as a violinist songwriter.
