Seeking Directions by Jérôme Masco
Debut studio album from French tenor saxophonist and composer Jérôme Masco (Yoshiwara, Robin & the Woods, Le Gros Cube #2), ‘Seeking Directions’ brings together nine tracks captured live. With this music, we are looking for the meaning of living in society, keeping in mind the quest for a better, fairer, more inclusive future. We have to find our way in the fog of a dense, complex modern world and rewrite the times that are coming!
With Kira Linn (Linntett, Francesca Gaza) on baritone saxophone, Nolwenn Leizour (GL Project, Roger Biwandu) on double bass and Nicolas Girardi (Granny Smith, Robin & the Woods) on drums, ‘Seeking Directions’ is an album with a raw, very acoustic sound, somewhere between neo-bop and instrumental pop jazz.
