This is a 33-minute-long excerpt from ELME, a 30-track endless, fully-generative virtual sound installation concept, that aims to portray a fever dream. There are 10 different musical layers, providing the evolving emotional backbone of the installation and 15 tracks of my field recordings I carefully picked in order to match the periodically returning elements of my own fever dreams. All of them gets randomly blended into 5 different effect tracks, so that the spatial context the find themselves in changes with time. The musical tracks change in their sound character as well, forming and uncanny blend between familiarity and insecurity, just like in a fever dream, where one can identify concrete elements, but still notice strange and ominous deviations. The visual realm of the installation reacts to different parts of the audio material and distorting perception accordingly.
Audiovisual artist with a passion for walls of sound and visceral textures, who is on a journey of exploring multiple musical and audiovisual genres. My art communicates through minimalistic, yet monumental soundscapes and atmospheres, juxtaposing different aspects of the human experience with our perception of nature, the built environment and/or their interplay.
