It's hard to get much farther apart than where M G Boulter and Jenny Sturgeon live. Written between their homes in Southend-on-Sea (on the south-east coast of England) and Shetland (the most northerly islands in the UK), Hudson Records label mates M G and Jenny began writing songs online in early 2022. This is the first song written together and their first release. Inspired by dusty keepsakes pocketed on walks, left on bookshelves as memories and the science of soundwaves, deep space and time, 'Flint Knapped' combines their love of history, nature and staring at the night sky. Featuring M G on vocals, guitar and lap steel and Jenny on vocals and keys, mixed by Hudson Record's very own Andy Bell.

Jenny Sturgeon is a Scottish singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and sound artist. As a solo artist, she has released two acclaimed albums. Her music combines field recordings with sonic and lyrical imagery which is bound together by common threads of nature, folklore and the connection people have with the landscape.
