Baby Boy by Jake Gussman

This song started as a joke album cover (pictured above). Taking that as a writing prompt, I quickly demoed a song idea In the bathroom (yes really) and ran downstairs after to grab my glockenspiel (bells) and knock out the concept of what you are now hopefully listening to.

I sat on it for six months then dug it up, did some mild revising, and put it to tape in the last three nights.

Baby Boy is a lullaby to millennial slackers feeling a bit too old for their advancement and afraid maybe the next generation will lap them and laugh before they’ve even got out the door.

Something like that....
