Black Velvet from Reinvention by Jaime Jackett
'Black Velvet' is a dedication to Jackett's bandmate Marina Avros from Belle Miners. Marina's voice is a plush, black crushed velvet pillow that sits perfectly with Felicia Harding and Jackett's sibling-like blend.
The song came as a from Jackett's first annual 'Song A Day May' challenge to raise funds for brain cancer research. The challenge went overtime and Day 41 of the challenge also happened to be Avro's 41st birthday.
