Two-Step by Jack DeSalvo
Recording as a duo since the early 90s, when they first combined frame drums, percussion, guitars and mandolin on Tales of Coming Home (UR9986), Tom Cabrera and Jack DeSalvo have pushed the possibilities of this format to new levels of resonance. Through their 30+ year sojourn their recorded output ranges from raw percussion and guitar to creating orchestral pieces with drums, cello, bass, percussion from all over the world, various guitars, mandola, etc., etc. The current release, Two-step, is true to their oft travelled path of completely improvised tracks which, to the listener, have the rigor and beauty of crafted compositions.
Two-Step presents these gentlemen at the height of their powers.
