Is the only sax/piano duo track. It’s from a 2017 release ‘Gilmanricks’.
It’s an improvisation based on a series of harmonies written my Gilman, in the style of minimal compositions by Terry Riley, Steve Reich and Arvo Part.
Together with the soprano sax improvised melody the track channels ‘Folk Songs’ By Charlie Haden, Jan Garbarek and Egberto Gismonti.
