Tundra from ITAKIRY by ITAKIRY
Tundra is about the realization of falling in love with the wrong person and about how difficult it can be to let go of unfulfilled hopes and promises, so that sometimes we prefer to delude ourselves with a distorted reality.
The lyrics of the first verse were originally written to the melody of the jazz standard Nardis by Miles Davis and then spun on. The standard thus also had a slight influence on the melody and mood of the composition.

Somehow I did not recognize
The ice cold gleam within his eyes

Is sometimes based on a projection of hopes
Caused by wishful thinking
And what you get is an inaccurately drawn portrait
Which is denying all flaws

Mesmerized and blind
Beware wherever you may go
