Kū vanished in the ground.

From there a plant sprouted.
The plant grew into
A beautiful ʻUlu,
With fruit bountiful,
To bring abundance
For all the people

The gift of Kū is the gift of ʻUlu—
A plant embodiment of a God.

God Kū transformed himself
