This album is inspired by the paranoid fringes of American politics, gun show conspiracy theorists and religious movements alike. Still decades on from the main events, we see this culture of entrapment, informants, and conspiratorial parapolitics continuing to direct extremism and violence toward the thickets and the backwaters of American life.
To reflect this strange gun-shy but trigger-happy condition, ELOHIM presents a sound alternating between fast-paced and droning, both expansive and smothering. By combining strange reverbs, mixer feedback, and cut-up editing, this project aims to radicalize, accelerate, and terrorize a placated audience.
"Land of the free, that's what they think!
Home of the slave, a nation of finks!"
