PAX by Henrik Meierkord, Pawel Kobak, Marco Lucchi, Rocco Saviano

"It's time again. After the album Venusia (https://ambientologist.bandcamp.com/album/venusia), the quartet consisting of Henrik Meierkord, Pawel Kobak, Marco Lucchi and Rocco Saviano just finished the mixing and producing of their new album PAX.

In these times where war is a consistent matter with grumpy old men, we chose the relevant goddess PAX, the goddess of peace, daughter of the Roman king god Jupiter and the goddess Justice.

And like last time, Rocco started sending guitar tracks to Henrik, but some tracks actually started with Pawel's flute and some with Henrik's cello, all accompanied with the velvet sounding synthesizers of Marco Lucchi.

We are going on a dreamtrip where electroacoustic elements make us go through ambient, neoclassical experiments such as baroque and renaissance.

The cover is a painting by the Flemish painter Jacob De Backer's allegorical study: Charity, reworked by the video artist Ralf Moussa in Beirut, Lebanon. Like Ralf points out: thid portrays a Madonna making peace between two children, which illustrates the current state of war as for being childish, immature, also Madonna's hands bouncing into one of the child's feet. Teaching her children to share the grapes - the resources, the land that has been given... as for being both the utopian but the only available solution to the conflict residing in our part of the globe."
