Miserable Day by I Cut People

Hopelessness, nothingness, and loneliness are among the many themes I take on in Miserable Day. Constant references to suicide and the absurdity of life, while reveling in debauchery, overflow into a barrage of fierce polemics in the form of Menippean satire. Miserable Day is a testimony through the lens of Nietzsche's "last man," (a decadent and reactive) to how we go about our lives with nothing to lose (a will to nothingness), everything to fear, and nothing to expect when we die. Yet, the continuous references to suicide symbolize [perhaps] a rebirth / replacement / transformation. Though mostly dark, it maintains a sense humor throughout, adding a sliver of light to its bleak nihilistic convictions.
