This CD developed out of a live performance with The Loop
Orchestra in July 2002. For this performance 5 records
were chosen by the Loop orchestra and 5 records were
chosen by myself. From these 10 records, tape-loops
were made by the Loop Orchestra to be played along with
live manipulation of the records on turntables.
This piece was made, after the event, using these same
10 records, with 3 turntables and an effects box.
No computers were used or harmed in the production
(only in the final assembly of tracks).

Ian Andrews produced electronic and tape based music on the label Lymph in the early 1980s (The Horse He's Sick, Kurt Volentine, Cut with the Kitchen Knife). He has continued to exhibit sound video and visual art internationally. Presently he works with Garry Bradbury on projects Sanity Clause and Atasie-abasie. He has also produced techno and dub under the names Disco Stu and Hypnoblob.
