Written when we all still lived in Newcastle and practiced regularly in Dylan's garage. Last performed live in 2014.
We're now a fully remote band. It took ten years to figure out how to keep making music together but here we are.

The salt in the air
Corrodes your skin
It blisters and tears, peels off, and bleeds
And the daylight washes up people in boats
Until our cages overflow and turn into bones
Birds in the sky
Know each other by name
They float and fade, but treat each other the same
And the sunset wakes you up face down in the soil
We just pray a lot and hope
When the devil finds us, we've cleaned up

I Am The Agent are a mixed-genre four-piece rock band from Awabakal Country (Newcastle), Australia.
Their first single Melodramatic Popular Song received national airplay on its release in 2008. They have since released four self-produced EPs and performed over 100 shows.
In 2024 they are a fully distributed, studio-only band.
