Ill Regular by Hyphen-One & Daylow
From 2002-2010 Hyphen-One performed hundreds of gigs at venues all over the east coast as the lead vocalist and keyboard player with Daylow - a ten piece Funk Fusion Band consisting of drums, bass, keys, guitar, lead vox, female vox, baratone saxophone, alto saxaphone, trombone, turntablist, percussion. The shows often consitisted of a series called, "Hip-Hop Is Not Dead" and included battles and/or showcases involving live graffitti writers, Emcees, Breakdancers, and DJ's. This album recieved reviews comparable to classic Hip-Hop albums on sites such as OkayPlayer. During this time, Hyphen-One was also involved in organizing shows in the NJ punk and hardcore scene in which Emcee Battles would occur in between bands. We had a second full album worth of music which we unfortunately never got to record before we moved on in 2010. Peace to Daylow these were great times.
