Isaiah 40:31, one of the many scriptures my mom held onto during her cancer says, "those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength". One thing about my mom is that she has always been a prayer warrior. She never lost faith, she never lost hope. She prayed for her alcoholic, abusive, unfaithful husband and her prayers would finally come to fruition. My dad started to go to church, we finally had a house that we fit into comfortably and my dad quit drinking. He started his own business and started to see success. Life was starting to turn around. God had shown Himself faithful. God never gives up on us, whether you're the victim or the villain in your story, He loves all the people involved. God is faithful to His promises.
Lamentations 3:22-23
1 Corinthians 10:13
1 John 1:9
The first scripture talks about God's love for us and His faithfulness to always love us no matter what season of life we are in. The second verse talks about temptation, maybe you're tempted to give up on God, to give up on prayer, to turn to the things of this world. No matter what it is, God is faithful, and will show you a way out. Keep seeking Him. The final scripture is the best one, it's the promise of God to forgive us and to cleanse us, all we have to do is to receive Him is ask. God is always faithful.
